From selecting high-performance appliances to choosing the most durable surfaces and finishes, investing in the best your budget can handle, will guarantee a beautiful kitchen the will be used and enjoyed for years to come!

If you’re planning a new kitchen or just want to update and upgrade your existing kitchen, here are a few must-haves that I know will not only add function and style but will make your time in the kitchen more enjoyable and efficient!

Abbott Zinc-top eucalyptus Island from Pottery Barn is ideal for entertaining with features including cast-iron double towel bar and four towel hooks and bottle opener. This 50-inch wide by 28-inch deep by 36-inch high island can be tucked against the wall when not in use and rolled out on casters for easy mobility when and where needed.

A beautiful customized island fitted with Thermador’s gorgeous Professional Series 48-inch range offers everything a family’s chefs needs. Design your island with conveniently located drawers to keep everything at hand and top the island with a heat, stain and bacteria-resistant countertop such as quartz, granite or soapstone.

A round or rectangular extendable table offers the convenience of accommodating small or large gatherings. Keep in mind that a round table makes conversation easier and one with a pedestal base means diners don’t have to deal with table legs and can accommodate more chairs.

This artisan-crafted Biblio 3-step wooden ladder, available exclusively through is fashioned after a classic library ladder and makes it easy to access tall cabinets and shelves. It folds to a slim 3-1/2” profile for storage, and wheels make it easy to maneuver around the house.

The perfect small-space solution, this uber-functional, wall-mounted wood drying rack is a multi-tasking solution for any busy kitchen. It opens accordion-style to air-dry clothing and linens, then folds back, flush to the wall when not in use. Wooden pegs hang aprons, tea towels and other items.

Enjoy your kitchen!

5 Pretty Pink Looks for Spring

5 Pretty Pink Looks for Spring

PINK is a pale red color, which takes its name from the flower of the same name. According to surveys in Europe and the United States, pink, especially when combined with white or pale blue, is the color most commonly associated with femininity, sensitivity, tenderness, childhood, and the romantic.

Here are a few of my favourite ways to decorate with PINK. It’s the season’s hottest colour for both home and fashion!

This dreamy pink, white and gray damask paper by Graham & Brown is trés chic and heavenly elegant. Create a feature wall or indulge your feminine side and cover all four walls!

Our spring and summer gardens are finally bursting with blooms. Imagine how delightful your table will look with a single PINK posie placed at each place setting. Simply roll up your best damask napkin, wrap with a leaf, tuck in a single stem and secure with a pearl floral pin. So simple.

Think PINK in rich, warm tones for your home office, bedroom or living room. Accented with an equally warm white and brushed metallics – gold, bronze or silver – PINK takes on a fresh modern vibe! Here two shades of pink are used to create a wainscot effect with the lighter shade Benjamin Moore Touch of Pink 2008-70 above the chair rail and the peachy tone Benjamin Moore Sunlit Coral 2170-60 below. Trim in Intense White OC-51.
