A Few of My Favorite Books

I love the written page. The tactile experience of turning a page to see another image that may cause me to pause and study.

Yes, I have a Kobo and I do travel with it because it is so convenient but a physical book has such beauty and also is an essential for any designer when styling an interior space.

Here are some of my favourite eye candy design and culinary books.

Let's start with a visually stimulating cookbook.

Too Easy by Donna Hay

For this I have to turn to Donna Hay.

For those who are not familiar with Donna, you are in for a treat. Her simple recipes and styling are mouth watering and when my son was young, I turned to many of her recipes over and over because my family loved them.

I recently added her book Too Easy to my roster and also checked out her Instagram page. Stunning and delicious.

She is not vegan or vegetarian but her recipes can be adapted easily to any restriction.

A Way of Living by Ralph Lauren

An amazing historical visual view of the Ralph Lauren style of living.

Classic and timeless-this is such a beautiful book to slowly absorb.

Simplicity by Nancy Braithwaite

The book cover alone had me. The visuals are crisp and clean and the modern project was stunning. I loved the contrast of Nancy's work and the visual weight of her design.

Inspiring.

Eight Homes by Clements Design

Yes, eight homes perfectly styled. Clean. Simple.

A good book to have in your arsenal.

I hope you try these recommended reads.

Happy reading!
