The kitchen was at the heart of the transformation. The existing layout was reworked to create a stronger connection between the kitchen, dining room, and family room, making the main floor feel more open and cohesive.
The former living room was repurposed as the dining room, allowing the kitchen to expand and become a more central part of family life and entertaining. The result is a space that feels connected rather than divided, with a natural flow between cooking, dining, and gathering.
A Fresh, Timeless Palette
Warm neutrals paired with cool metal finishes give the kitchen and dining spaces a fresh yet enduring quality. Subtle touches of blue and charcoal add depth and contrast while maintaining the calm, cohesive feeling throughout the home.
The dining area provides a natural extension of the kitchen, supporting both everyday family meals and larger gatherings.
Designed for Indoor-Outdoor Living
The renovation wasn't limited to these key rooms. Throughout the main and upper floors, the layout was reconsidered to improve how the family uses the home every day.
The kitchen, dining, and family spaces were designed to transition naturally to the covered back porch, landscaped yard, and pool, strengthening the connection between indoor and outdoor living. The overall renovation created a home that feels more functional, welcoming, and adaptable as the family continues to grow.
The Next Chapter
Years later, Jackie was invited back to continue the transformation for this repeat client. This time, the focus shifted downstairs, where the basement was reimagined as a comfortable, highly functional space with generous storage, a beverage station, a new fireplace, and a refreshed bathroom.
