Jackie Glass' Niagara Home: A Timeless Design, Refreshed
Ten years after designing her own mid-century modern home nestled among the wineries of Niagara, Jackie Glass gave the space a thoughtful refresh. Like all well-loved homes, it had evolved over time, calling for subtle updates that would enhance its beauty and functionality while staying true to its original vision.
The refresh focused on refining rather than reinventing. In the living room, a new layout centered around the fireplace creates a warm gathering space, while a golden velvet slipcovered sofa and mid-century-inspired daybed invite relaxation with views of the Niagara Escarpment and spring-fed pond.
Throughout the home, carefully chosen updates—including new lighting, fresh paint, statement furnishings, and custom details—bring renewed energy to each space. The front hall now makes a dramatic first impression, while the principal suite feels lighter, more luxurious, and beautifully refreshed.
As both designer and homeowner, Jackie believes the best homes continue to evolve with the people who live in them—embracing change while preserving the timeless design principles that never go out of style.
